This is my last post written specifically for the Steem platform. Like many people who are against centralisation and censorship, and are disappointed with how the Steem blockchain has been single-handedly trashed by a spoilt brat, I'll be moving over to Hive today.
I powered down for the first time two days ago and for those who have chosen to stay on Steem or will continue to post on Steem, I will keep my auto vote till my vote is worth nothing. I might still be cross posting my Hive posts on Steem but I probably won't be spending much time here. Then maybe I will sell my Steem for Hive, or maybe my Steem will be worth nothing. If that's the case, so be it. I came to Steem with nothing, and if I leave with nothing, I'm fine with it.
Two of the main projects that I'm involved in, @SteemitWorldMap and @OCD have confirmed they will be moving over to Hive. I will continue to support and curate users from Hive through these two great communities. In particular the Map will be rebranding ourselves with a new name and logo. Here's a sneak preview of our draft mascot. I can tell you it's going to be fun!
I can't exactly say I'm happy to leave Steem as I've had a fairly good run here and met some fantastic people. But on the other hand I'm not sad to leave either. I don't want to stay at a place where its core values don't align with mine. The good thing is this isn't the end of things.
