Welcome to my first post. My name is Loya and I am a photographer from Portugal. I was born in the city of Lisboa, this incredible city, and from childhood I absorbed its beauty, was inspired by it.
Why did I decide to become a photographer?
When it was necessary to choose a university for admission, and, accordingly, a future profession, I was dangling between the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Design and Photography.
As a result, she entered, as the real female logic suggested, for something third - incomprehensible, unknown, but seemingly "profitable" or "correct" - for marketing.
According to my numerous observations, people of two categories often become photographers:
- Those who almost immediately after school or after college began to engage in photography, regardless of the diploma they received.
- Those who are not particularly successful in their main profession and decided to go into photography. But I got some kind of my own, the third option. For almost 8 years I worked in marketing, I was a project manager. I even liked my last office job, the work was interesting and, to some extent, creative. I was offered the position of head of marketing in the near future. But I still had the feeling that I was out of place. My creative personality rushed out, and, in parallel with the main work, I studied web design, and then at the photography school. The last straw was an internship trip to Istanbul, after which I could already organize author's tours for girls abroad.
I have always been fond of photography. Before the pandemic, I managed to visit 40 countries. And I have always traveled with a camera, taking pictures of views, architectures, etc.
In the fall of 2019, I made one of the most difficult decisions for myself: quit my job, marketing, and completely go into a new profession and my projects.
My works
The first project was the author's photo tour in Dubai, which we held in November 2019.
The idea of organizing author's tours, as well as filming abroad, attracted me very much. I dreamed of freedom! Freedom of movement, freedom of thought, and work is also in this freedom. I didn’t even have time to put together a portfolio, when the pandemic began, the lockdown, and my work as a photographer actually began only in the summer of 2020. I also continued to study, attended workshops, and organized creative shootings. But with trips abroad it became still more difficult.
What makes me different
• I have good taste and understanding of aesthetics.
• I help experts and brands find their visual style and earn more.
• On the way to my author's style and vision, I want it to become recognizable.
• I organize photo projects
What am I filming
Like almost any novice photographer, at the start I went through almost all types of shooting))
I felt by experience what is mine and what is not. Now I clearly understand the vector of my development: I am most interested in commerce (B2B), that is, shooting for businesses, brands, experts, bloggers, entrepreneurs, and so on.
My works
My author's style is a note of drama, cinema and fashion.
Therefore, cute family photo shoots in a photo studio by the fireplace, as well as weddings with guests and a banquet, events, and interior shootings are definitely not for me. But I am always happy to recommend colleagues who specialize in such shootings.
It was my not big acquaintance. I will be waiting for your feedback!
