Caracas is the capital of Venezuela, my country. All of us who have had the opportunity to live there describe it as a beautiful chaos, this city is located within a valley and is separated from the Caribbean Sea by our beloved and emblematic hill "El Avila", also known as the Waraira Repano National Park, so it was called by its original inhabitants, the indigenous people of the "Caribes" ethnic group, the translation into Spanish would be something like "the sea made land".
I carry Caracas very deeply in my heart because although it is a city that has suffered for many years mainly due to political problems, it still does not fail to dazzle us with its immense natural and architectural beauty. I stopped living there in 2019 and I constantly remember it with longing and nostalgia, especially its beautiful sunsets that are reflected in the clouds that cover El Avila hill and the song of the blue macaws that make life in the city. The macaws are one of its main attractions as there are many of them and they constantly perch on the balconies of the buildings and let you appreciate their beautiful colors before leaving again.
Now it has made me a little nostalgic to remember her writing this post hahaha but it is worth it to know that she will always be there for when I decide to come back. I think if I had to choose just one place in this world to put down roots I wouldn't think twice and I would go to Caracas, with its perfect weather, morning chaos and beautiful sunsets.
