Тhe favorite of millions of fans in our country and around the world football club Levski today celebrates its 106th birthday!
The club was founded on this date in 1914 by a group of young high school students and was named after the Bulgarian revolutionary and national hero Vasil Levski.
Levski is the most popular Bulgarian football team.
In its 100-year history, the team has followed ups and downs.
Throughout its existence so far Levski Sofia is the only team that in all 95 football championships of Bulgaria has played either in the first Sofia football division or in the National "A" group, and now "Еfbet League".
RECORDS
Levski has won a total of 73 major national trophies (national record): 26 times champion of the country, 26 National Cups (national record), three Super Cups of Bulgaria, eleven times the Championship of Sofia, three Cups of the Soviet Army, one Cup of the People's Republic of Bulgaria and four times Ulpia Serdica.
In European tournaments, Levski reached 5 European Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Cup quarterfinals and the club became the first Bulgarian club to reach the group stages of the UEFA Champions League Cup.
Although the team is in a severe financial crisis and has not won a single trophy in 10 years (we actually lost 3 finals), the fans always support the team. Аctually at the moment the fans are supporting the team financially because our owner fled to Dubai (our government took over his businesses
due to suspicions of financial fraud).
Mentioning the fans ...
They are many and support the team endlessly.
The spirit transmitted by torches and bombs is indescribable.
Just watch:
Levski fans are friends with those of Lazio and Espanyol and therefore can often be seen in matches.
Тhe team biggest enemy is CSKA-Sofia. Quite interesting things can be seen in the matches between the two teams.
After all, football is for the fans. I am sure that the club will not go bankrupt precisely because of the help of the fans.
Supporters who did not abandon the team in a difficult time!
It is interesting how in times like today there are still things that unite people. Not separate them.
