Today, while I was on the terrace and watching the cars passing, some thoughts came over me.
First of all, I want to say that I am not the typical man who understands cars and is interested which is the latest model, which car has what engine, etc.
I have had a driver's license for 6 years and I can drive, but cars have never been my passion. For me, they are just a wat to get from point A to point B.
We (humans) are currently living surrounded by a consumer society. Maybe that is the reason why some people who are different are considered as strange. I can tell that vegans are some of those people.
However, in my opinion, people who use electric cars do not do it because their main goal is to protect the environment, but because it is simply cheaper.
In my country Bulgaria is dominated mainly by old cars - Most come from countries in Western Europe and most of them have a mileage that shows at least 150,000 km. This is the same in the other contries from Eastern Europe. Yes, there some people that have brand new Maserati, but the majority of the people are using cheap old cars like this one:
/I photographed this car in my old neighborhood. As you can see it have 3 logos-Lancia/Fiat and Alfa Romeo).
On the other hand, electric cars are quite expensive.
I have personally ridden several times and I am honestly not impressed.
One of the things I liked is that they don't make a sound, but it's definitely not a factor that will prevail when choosing to buy a car.
However, this matters. In the photo we can see that in the country where I live there are 174 places where I can charge an electric car. Of course, most of them are not free.
I know that big companies like Tesla, whose shares have reached a staggering $ 1,800, are trying to flood the market with their innovations, but I think their task is quite difficult - reaching the mass consumer in this niche is an extremely difficult task.
:) I wish everyone happiness! :)
