Yes, it's my birthday and I treated myself to 30 minutes out in the garden searching for some good macro subjects. Happy to say that I got one of the nicest honey bee images I've taken. I always find it tricky to get a good shot of a bee as they tend to go into the flower headfirst and then shoot off without a chance to get a good shot. This one had the bee lounging around in the stamens for a while which was very welcome.
And then a pretty standard shot of a daffodil. You can't go wrong with a bit of diffused flash to give you some nice background isolation.
And finally, one of many shots I got of this caterpillar. Same species as one I shot in the last couple of weeks. There seems to be quite a lot of them about. These ones are tiny so used the Raynox DCR-250 to get a lot closer in.
