That's a Dv 12, one of the most common diesel engine types in the country, manufactured between 1964 and 1984. Refurbished between 2003 and 2008. VR stands for Valtion Rautatiet (= State Railways).
That engine is an Sr2, one of the most common electric engine types in Finland, manufactured by Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik, ABB, Adtranz, Bombardier and Transtech. Manufactured from 1995 to 2003.
