Hello beautiful people! It's so nice to finally be here on hive. I had tried opening an account few months back and it wasn't possible but then something said to try again and I did and viola I'm hereš¤.
I am okoebor Akhigbe Ruth and I am from the Esan parts of Nigeria. As unbelievable at it may seem, I am just 23years old and I came into existence in the month of April, which is why April remains my most favourite month of the year.
My youngest sister and I look so much alike that people call us twin sometimes. She bothers me alot but she can be fun too and it's never a dull moment when we're together.
I am the third amongst four siblings who I adore and love very much, even though they can be a pain in the neck sometimes but I'm pretty positive that all of those are supposed to come along with siblinghoodš.
I am an undergraduate, studying Aquaculture and fisheries management from the prestigious university of Benin and that automatically makes me a farmer. I will be sincere and say that I had initially wanted to be a medical doctor whilst growing up but somehow and somewhere along the line, I found myself in the field of agriculture.
I spent my first year denying aquaculture and looking for ways for transfer to medicine my dream profession. I had already planned that in my second year I would transfer to pharmacy and then to medicine. It was during this process that my eyes became open and I saw that where I was, was a treasure in disguise and it's been four years since then and I'm a proud fish farmer.
I now carry my head high and proudly do what I do. You do not want to see my on a busy day in the farm, it's quite embarrassing but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. When I wake up everyday, I thank the Lord that I never left and embraced this path. I'm yet to graduate and frankly, I can't wait. I'm anxious cos I really want to start my journey of owning my own fish farm and the present pause in education is really slowing me down but nonetheless, I'm hopeful.
What do I have for hive?
I actually just want to learn. Learning they say is a part of life and never ceases, so I want to learn and unlearn and learn again. Will I just be taking from and not giving back? No! I'll also be giving value by teaching what I know to those who are willing to learn as well.
My hobbies
I love to sing! I don't think a day every passes by that I do not sing a song or two. I like to think of myself as a very good singer and might I add that I am the music director of my church Choir, yayš¤.
Dancing too is something I love doing. Although the dance steps I have can only be danced by me which makes me a terrible dancer, I still dance each time I can. I don't have a picture of me dancing even if it did, it would have been too horrible to look atš.
I also draw every once in awhile. I mostly draw just flowers but they are considered beautiful by my standard. Here's a pic of what I drew just yesterday, I hope you like.
