All that it takes to see this beauty in your soul is a bit of introspection!
An old leaf of a water lily has taken on a new lovey rusty color!
I stood at a pond today watching people walking by and not one stopped to have a closer look. A few little children wanted to get into the water but their parents whisked them away.
Then an old gent approached me to ask what I am taking photos of, I swung my camera's visor open and showed him.
Well his mouth fell open and I had a new convert on my hands, as suddenly he also started looking more intently around him at the pond.
But what did I show him?
Have a look below!
A new water flower starting out on it's short blooming journey!
Not much to see here in the photo above and why stop to have a closer look?
Just a line of some insects on the pond wall.
Well at the left of that line is this red beauty!
In the middle of the line-up is a lovely blue one!
And at the right in the line is this rustic wonder!
I was following this Citrus butterfly around hoping that he would sit, but no luck!
But look what is in the bush where the butterfly led me, a lovely statue!
Once the butterfly was sure that I saw the statue, he flew away!
Another sight that is not of much interest to anyone, except me of course!
A closer look reveals a mating set of damselflies!
A third guy appeared, but three is a party, so they all took off.
I hope that the three examples above have revealed the necessity for us to take a closer look at things. Life tends to become dull and boring in our normal walk every day and we tend to ignore the small things.
A perfect example of this is that many souls streamed past this pond today without a second look at it, as they were on their way to the popular food market on the estate.
Just so it is with the beauty that becomes hidden within each of us.
Life teaches prosperity and a host of other things that occupy our minds, and the real things in life; the things that we regard as a waste of time, pass us by. Yet every single one of us can appreciate external beauty. Why?
Simply because the same beauty resides within ourselves.
Is it not then the time to start with a deeper and closer look within? A time to remove the scabs and the cobwebs and to unearth the childlike beauty that we were born with?
Many of us long for the days in the past where we could laugh in wonder at anything. The days where there were no worries and only innocent fun. The days as a toddler of explorations and new exciting discoveries.
Those days that we have locked into the steel vault of our hearts.
Time to throw open the doors methinks!
That's not all yet folks!
Just to show you the first Super Moon of 2020! The Snow Full Moon!
Guess what? We just had a 3 day full moon weekend! From Friday night to Monday morning.
"The name originated with the native American tribes who associated the event with the winter weather!
It is also called the Hunger moon and the Storm moon reflected by the traits of the long cold stormy winter months!
A super moon only occurs three time a year"!
