Hello everyone,
This is the second post of the series “Maintaining an apple orchard”. In this post I am going to show you guys my youngest orchard with baby apple trees.
Today I along with my father came to this orchard for spraying micronutrients on the trees in our Gypsy. We had our power sprayer, pipe and other essential stuff in our Gypsy.
Upon reaching there, the next task was to undo the pipe and spread that pipe in the orchard.
Next task was to mix the micronutrients with water in a drum and connect that orange pipe to the power sprayer as shown in the picture below. These initial tasks were my job.
As I was done with these tasks, my father went to the extreme end of this orchard and fitted nozzle to the pipe. Meanwhile, I got time to capture the photograph of these baby apples.
My father started to spray on the baby apple trees. The trees are still very small, about 6-7 feet long.
I captured this photograph just after the spray. The apples covered with micronutrients.👌
It took around 15 minutes to spray in the whole plot. Now it was my job to again make a bundle of the pipe and keep other stuff in place.
I did that. 😊 I also had to keep other things inside the Gypsy so I wasn’t able to capture more photographs. We drove back home after that.
Spraying is very important part of apple growth. There are many kinds of sprays used to different functions. Some are fungicides, some are pesticides and some are nutrients based. I am going to explain that in my upcoming posts.
Love from Himalayas ❤️
