Hello everyone, Hope you are doing good...
I wish I could explain how much I love traveling, one day when I will have enough money, I will travel the whole world especially the seven wonders of the world and UNESCO heritage sites.
Singapore City at a glance..
I have visited some countries but according to my, Singapore is one of the finest countries I have ever seen. I know Dubai (UAE) is famous for its skyscrapers and landmarks but Singapore is something else. Let me tell you why...
The city itself is very well organized with urban elements. The landscape itself is remarkable, from sculpture to trees. Singapore taught me, that plants and herbs can be organized and can be part of city beautification.
Merlion Park, Singapore
Merlion Park is one of the most popular and famous landmarks of Singapore city and well-known tourist attraction. This park is free for everyone and you can go there at any time.
This is a mythical creature sculpture, you can see it's head is lion's head and the lower portion is fishtail. This statue is situated inside the park and I guess holding the pride of Singapore city.
This statue is almost 8.6 meters in height, weighs 70 tons and spouts water from its mouth continuously. This statue designed by a craftsman from Singapore.
Many people go there every single day including native people. In the afternoon, this place is one of the crowded places in the entire city. Many people come here to see this beautiful park in person and capture a lot of pictures.
Not only the landmark itself but also this park is famous for it's surrounding beauty. One side you will see the beautiful Marina Bay Sand, another side you will see the beautiful cityscape and skyscrapers of Singapore.
I tried to take different pictures of the surroundings and environment so that you can get a small idea of this park. By the way, this park is located near the city center, beside the Singapore River, a stunning place to explore.
The entire cityscape is astounding and no compromise with the scales of each modern buildings. At night, the entire environment turns into a festival look but unfortunately, I was not able to experience that.
This is the Singapore river, you can hire a boat and explore the beauty.
By the way, Singapore is not cheap at all remember that.
You can explore the exterior of the Marina Bay Sands and other cityscapes by boat journey. Many people hire this small boat and take full life memorable experiences.
Half lion and half fish have a story...
The Merlion's body symbolizes Singapore's humble beginnings as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which comes from the same root as the word tasek ('lake' in Malay). source.
From these pictures, you can see how many people were trying to capture their beautiful memorable moments. Also, you can see beautiful architectural structures as well.
The entire landmark surrounded by the beautiful plaza, bridge, and river. If you stay there at night, you will see the beautiful light show. From the plaza, you will see the Marina bay sands and the Singapore city.
Unfortunately, my dad is a very beginner capturing our picture (me and my sister).
So here are some selfies which I have taken while visiting Merlion Park. The weather was really good and it was summer so the best time to visit here was the afternoon. If you go there morning or noon during summer, you have to suffer a lot.
I have also captured a portion of Singapore Flyer using the Zooming lens. It was really an amazing experience so far in my life.
Merlion is the official mascot of Singapore which means it represents Singapore city. To be honest, I had a great time there walking around, experiencing the landmark, Singapore river, awesome cityscape, and the exclusive Marina Bay Sand.
If you are planning to go to Singapore, this park is a must-visit for spending a nice time there.
The fun part: I tried to collage two pictures to make a complete picture of Marina Bay Sands.
Thanks, everyone for reading...
