Essential oils are plant extracts generally used for their health promoting factors. These are used in aromatherapy, naturotherapy and also added in skincare products like moisturizers and serums. These oils are known to help promote overall wellness of the body and mind. They are obtained by methods of distillation or cold-pressing. They are not to be consumed by swallowing or added in food as they are inedible. The oils can be applied on skin or just inhaled which helps to stimulate emotions, mood, memory and behavior.
I recently got my hands on Rose Hip Oil and Lavender Oil. I found these on Amazon and placed an order. I did a little research on the benefits of both oils and was amazed with the results.
Rose Hip Oil is extracted from the fruits of a type of wild roses named Rosa Rubiginosa. This is rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C.
This can be applied directly on the skin or added into your moisturizer. The following are the uses-

-Betters sun damage and pigmented skin

Lavender oil is extracted from selected species of lavender by the process of distillation. Lavender oil is rich in antioxidants and esters. The oil can be applied directly on skin and hair or mixed with coconut oil, olive oil or jojoba oil. It can also be added to bath water to relax your mood or decrease stress. The following are the uses-
-Reduces anxiety and stress

-Promotes better sleep
-Relieves headache
-Eases muscle pain
-Boosts hair health
-Fights acne
-Improves brain functioning
