Today is a sad day. The country is struggling with COVID and authorities just decided to start with a curfew from 10 pm to 6 am as more and more people are having to visit the hospitals.
As people are expecting another lockdown soon, many are going to the national parks and they are all crowded. We decided to just go get some chestnuts as it is a tradition to eat them by November 1st.
I discovered this place about 1:30hr from home when I did a nice mountain biking trip with some friends a few years ago. The place is full of chestnut trees and at this time of the year, they are all over. The place is by a reservoir and I was able to take this shot from the top of the mountain.
Today I was expecting some crowd but it was not too bad. We did not catch as many as other years but I love picking them and cooking them at home in the afternoon. Although they were not too big, we ended up picking this many from just 1/2hr.
