A few years ago I got very involved in SecondLife, a 3D virtual world where you could build and live many different experiences. I ended up building and producing several projects for companies and experimented myself while discovering completely different and new ways to expand our real world.
I met architects who were building the houses they were designing for their clients so they could have a 3D idea of the final space. You could just walk into the building and have an immersive experience of how it would be. I remember stepping into a furniture shop and just clicking in the furniture to select the type of wood you wanted that piece to be.
The photo is a terrain I created with the shape of Catalonia, the region of Spain where I live. This is just an example of how you could just recreate anything you could imagine. You could turn day into night with just one click.
This may seem just pictures but you actually could land into the terrain and walk with your avatar, meet other people and even have a masterclass there!
Crypto reminds me a little bit of that time. We are starting to discover many new business models we will be able to recreate with blockchain technology and the crypto economy coming with it. Just Hive is an example of how a traditional social media business model can be completely transformed when the architecture used is blockchain.
Every blockchain is a sandbox where anyone can test, learn, and experience. I can't wait to see how models pop up in different industries and how little by little more and more people experience this new technology which brings a whole new economic world with it.
