My Introduction to Hive

INTRODUCTION

Hi hive family, it is really a pleasure to be here.
My name is Vine Dickson, a very fine girl from Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. I am 22 years of age and I am currently an undergraduate of school of nursing in the university of calabar, Nigeria.

A day in school

I work part time with the university of calabar teaching hospital and combining work and school has been fun and stressful at the same time. I am doing my 300 level now and if not for the strike holding the tertiary institutions, I would have been close to graduating. It sucks a lot but what can we do? We wait for them to call off the strike. But while we wait, we need to occupy ourselves with something rewarding and that’s how I found Hive.

HOW I KNEW ABOUT HIVE

My sweet friend, Hive account@unyimeetuk called me one day and asked what I do at my leisure time and I told him, seeing movies. He asked me if I would like to do something rewarding instead, I told him yes. He then told me about Hive and Since he has not been active again here because of his job, he asked Hive account@dave-estates to guide me through the registration process and Dave really took time to explain how the hive ecosystem works and I am excited to be here. Enough of movies!!!! Time to make new acquaintances and be more productive.

MY HOBBIES

My hobbies are seeing movies, researching, writing, reading, cooking and hanging out with friends. My friends would say that “laughing” is part of my hobby since I laugh a lot. Never a dull moment with me. I like being happy because the only way to stay productive is to be happy. We really have no reasons to be sad. We owe ourselves happiness and this is what I tell myself every day.
One of the businesses that I will like to venture into is the food business. It is really where my passion lies.

I cook a lot and if the hive community will have a party someday, I would love to be the chef hahaha🤣. You all need to taste my finger-licking Nigerian Jollof rice.

MY SERVICES TO THE HIVE COMMUNITY

I am really an advocate of culture and every foreign place I find myself; I like introducing the Ibibio culture to the people around. I am an Ibibio girl and Ibibio culture is really a beautiful one and I strongly believe that people would find it interesting to learn about the culture and hopefully make plans to visit Akwa Ibom to have an experience with the culture. And since cooking is something I love, I will also be educating us on the Ibibio delicacies and how they can be prepared.

WHAT I HOPE TO ACHIEVE IN HIVE

We can never learn If we don’t try something new, and hive is something very foreign to me. In fact, things about finance and crypto are what I would really love to learn and I hope I will find educational post about those afore mentioned topics. In fact, if you know of profiles, I can learn these topics from, don’t hesitate to tag me to them or drop links of such posts for me on the comment section. I do feel really left out and I hope being here will help in closing that gap.

This is where My introduction ends and I hope I am welcomed
