Hello!
A friend of mine has a Lexus and about a year and half ago, he asked me to take photos of his car. I had free time, I liked my friend, I liked the car, so I accepted the call. The shot above, was one the shots I liked a lot but when I uploaded it on instagram, it didn't get much likes. After that I uploaded this shot
and it got twice the likes. I don't judge my photos based on their likes, but I do care about the likes.
I wondered why people like that shot much more? Was it because the Lexus logo was in the shot? was it because it was black and white? or maybe it was just bad timing (maybe I had uploaded the first shot at the wrong time).
Now I compare this with real life, final results aren't as you expect them to be. So how should we evaluate our own works? if not based on likes, if not based on other people's opinion, then based on what?
You don't need to judge your photos based on people's opinions, but you have to give them what they want to take what you need.
Here are the rest of good shots of that day:
What do you think about these shots? Which one you like more?
All photos are taken by me, except noted.
