Like an unending carpet in midnight blue with diamonds big and small randomly scattered all around, the night sky seemed bewitching. Reclining on the garden furniture stacked with cushions, I shivered as a cold wind was blowing. I was alone with my thoughts and with the huge night sky for company.
The crickets were chirping relentlessly in the background. A lonely frog somewhere nearby croaked every now and then. Yet, it seemed like I was alone with this huge universe. The magical moonlight caressing me with her silvery light made me feel like I was very special. Someone so loved by the universe that she put up this grand show just for me. Just then from the corner of my eye I caught a shooting star. How astounding was this universe tonight, I wondered.
How old she was, and she did care about her age at all I mused. All she cared was about weaving her magic all around, sending love to the hearts that had become cold, it wasn't about her, it was always about them. Her magic was of the best kind, she could make people happy and let them feel her love. The love within couldn't be contained it always overflowed into someone's heart. How much could a little love do to heart grown weary!
I could feel a warm blanket of love surround me as I buried my face deeper into the soft, velvet pillows. A sigh of absolute pleasure escaped my lips and with gay abandon I thought this was life, but what was I to know. Just then a huge bunch of fireflies came from nowhere and lit up my world. I became a child once again experiencing the pure joy of little things that the world has to offer. My hearty was flooded with love bubbling and shimmering like those fireflies.
I could not stay in my reclining position anymore, throwing away my blanket I stood up. The song in my heart grew louder as I lifted my hands gracefully towards heaven and danced with the fireflies right into the dawn.
