Hello everyone! My name is Takhar. I was born in the late 90s on the smallest country in mainland Africa. I wasn't the popular kid growing up but I wasn't relegated to oblivion either. I did managed to fit in between stealing the spotlight on some occasions.
I'm the adventure type of person, wanting to discover new things and understand them. It did got me into trouble sometimes because I tend to discover that which traditionally "should remain hidden". I used to have a disdain for tradition because I thought the preordained rules where only there to enrich and give more power to those who are already in power!
I was enthusiastic about life all through my formative years until my parents got divorced when I was 15. It's like a great portion of the spark of life withdraw from me and I accordingly withdraw from life. From being an active participant, I became a mere spectator.
Schooling
I spent 3 years in nursery school. Because I skipped Grade 1, I spent 5 years in primary school and 5 also in high school. Effectively, 13 years been in the classroom. That's usually the tradition here and many people go through it (not the skip grade 1 part!).
I like to think that I was one of the smart students back in my school days, I didn't ace all but many of the subjects. You tend to know whether you're or you're not smarter than the average person. My favorite subjects were the sciences and arts, they allowed me to explore my curious nature.
After graduation from high school, I enrolled in Khamsys Technologies College and studied Database Administration and Business Management both Diploma and Advance Diploma for the latter. I spent 3 years juggling college, can't say it was fun for me but I endured it till the end.
After class, I'm the person on the top left :)
Work and Experience
A year after graduating, I got a job as a 'salesman' in a local diary company. I did like the job and the experiences that come with meeting different kinds of people. Parallel with the job, I tried out a bunch of gigs to supplement my salary. Just like the norm, most of them failed. I wasn't entrepreneurial back then but concept of hustling and earning my keep was attractive to me.
Everything changed when the pandemic happened, many of us were laid off. And all of my offline sources of income were on hold. So I turned online and started looking into ways to 'make money online'. Luckily, I did get it right this time and made money selling products online and freelancing.
First day of work at the 'office'
Through my interest in reading, I discovered that the online world is or will be way bigger that the offline world and it gave me the realization that I have to take things seriously. Most people over here still see the online world as merely an add on.
Hobbies And Interests
Anything that seems mysterious is interesting to me. Most of the time, I enjoy reading books of many genres and contemplate its contents and how it relates to the world. Growing up, I wanted to be an actor because story telling interest me a lot and I had the innate talent for that.
Other than that, I spent a healthy amount of time playing video games, talking a long walk in natural surroundings or trying out any artistic expression I feel inclined to.
Thank you for clicking this post and reading it all the way through to the end.
