The secret of getting ahead is getting started. Let me start by introducing myself.
My name is Anuoluwapo, most people call me Anu, but some of my friends can be too posh so they call me Annie. I’m from Oru Ijebu, a small village in southwest Nigeria but trust me it is on the map. I’m 24 years old, although I look younger than my age, most people think I’m probably 16.
WHAT I LOVE DOING
This life is short, so you have to tap into your passion.
Farming has always been my dream, my hobby, my passion, my calling, it’s even my everything. So, I started my agricultural journey in 2018, even though I have always followed my grandma to farm ever since I was a child.
I interned with Farmcrowdy, an aggrotech company in 2018. I undergo a year agricultural training at Leventis foundation in 2019. The training is all about practical farming.
Then I gained admission into Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in 2019 to study plant physiology and crop production. I'm currently stuck in 200 level as a result of the ongoing strike. I also interned with Nature Fresh / Freshmark in 2022 where I learnt about production and packaging of farm produce.
Work, work, farm can't be my only hobby. We should all know that. Aside farming, I also enjoy cooking and sleeping. “A good laugh and a LOOOONG SLEEP are the best cures in the doctor’s book.” I don't think I have ever been too busy to sleep . I take nap every time I get the chance and my 7 hrs sleep at night is compulsory. I already want to take a nap tomorrow.
I love cooking doesn't mean I know how to cook, but I'm always creative when it comes to cooking.
WHY I WANT TO JOIN HIVE
Sharing what you love doing can be one of the easiest tasks ever. Farming is a way of life and as such, I think everyone should have idea about agriculture. I want us to learn together and share experience on farming. I will also do my all time best to support you all and we will all grow together. In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.
I'm yet to find out everything about hives, but I know you guys are amazing and we will be able to learn together.
