Today I'm showing you my latest finish dot artwork
Pink with flowers and soft colors. I'm starting to get more and more comfortable dotting on a flat round wooden ornament and yesterday I decided to buy some more of them so that I always have a few projects on the side. It has been proven difficult for me to sit down and finish one artwork in one go, I have to look at it for a while after adding some dots, then take it in and continue later. I try to work on 3 projects at once so that I can use mixed colors on several works at the same time.
This wooden ornament with pink as a base color has been lying on my desk for more than a week now and it's been finished for a few days but I didn't have time to write a post about it yet. So here it is, including the process.
The process
I first added a base color pink and decided that I was going to use soft colors for this work. Not a real plan to start with, as you can see in the first picture. In the second and third picture, you can see it looks quite balanced and I like where this is going so far.
I love how the dots are on top of the wood at first like in the fourth picture, It's almost unreal when you take a picture of these fresh dots. Below 4 more steps of the process:
I added some dotted lines using a different color for every row of three, and I think it looked quite nice. In the last step, I added yellow flowers, you may not see this in this picture, but they aren't really balanced, I noticed this when I was already half way done. Let's see if I managed to correct it so that it's not disturbing in the end:
And one more from above:
I think I will use these soft colors more often, loving them. How do you like this one?
Have a good weekend!
