Barter System, in the Time of Pandemic
Look, I got this beautiful plant - - - money free! Yes, instead of money, I used my pre loved (or second hand) items in exchange.
Today, as people lost jobs and source of income because of the pandemic, thus became financially incapable, we became creative in acquiring what we need. In my hometown, a barter system was resurrected.
Barter System, as defined by New World Encyclopedia - is a type of trade where goods or services are directly exchanged for a certain amount of other goods or services; no money is involved in the transaction.

Online barter groups was started by some individuals in social media. Its purpose is to be able to help other people to get what they need (especially grocery items) without money involved.
How does Barter System works?
So easy, one will just post the item/goods you have in the online barter group account, and the things or services you wanted in exchange. Interested individuals will comment their items for trade and you will happily choose.
Once you have struck a deal, just agree on the place and time to give and receive the items or goods to and from the other person involved. And viola, its done!
The barter system was a huge success that some people even offered their cars or houses for trade! Sounds crazy huh? But yeah, that happened, the car was traded for sacks of rice to be given to the less fortunate. Faith in humanity restored❤️.
Those who lost their jobs or whose small businesses closed, offered their services (carpentry, mason, upholstery works etc) for some grocery items.
