Child labor is an important social problem. It is a curse for the children of poor families. This problem is more prevalent, especially in some South Asian countries. Poverty is the main cause of child labor. To meet the economic needs of poor families, young children are sent to various factories, shops, brick kilns and even to collect plastic on the streets.
At the age they are about to go to school, they are doing something risky. This is inhumane treatment of a child. Through this their basic rights are being taken away. They do not have the opportunity to study, do not eat good food, they do not know what entertainment is. They go about doing these risky tasks to meet the needs of the family. They are not safe there either. If they do not work well, they are subjected to physical torture. Inhuman sexual harassment is also done to girl children. Child labor has captured their colorful childhood. They cannot enjoy their lives. Such injustice to children is a threat to the development of many countries around the world.
So we have to come forward to stop child labor. The basic rights of children must be ensured. They have to get rid of this torture. May they come out of this curse. This is a social problem, so we can prevent child labor by having the collective participation of all the people in the society. The basic rights of children need to be emphasized. What they want, what they feel comfortable doing, should be given importance.
Ensure good education for children. They are the future of our day. By providing them with proper education, we can prevent child labor. All of us can make a concerted effort to eliminate child labor from society. We will prevent child labor, as well as those involved in child labor will be subject to the appropriate punishment. Children must come forward to save. Only then can the development of society, the state and the world be possible.
