After a full month of ups and downs, today it’s finally my day.
Typing this right now, I’m out of things to say which is something that rarely happens. It could be the adrenaline rush or just nerves but not withstanding this is how the past week has been so far.
A week ago, I had an inspo of how I wanted my birthday to go.
Get a beautiful dress and have a special Photoshoot.
I didn’t really plan a celebration because unfortunately my birthday fell on a working day. Although I do have plans for the weekend so it’s all good ;)
Anyway, two days prior my dress was ready and I was set for the Photoshoot. The only thing left was to find a good photographer close to me. Following hours of research and bargaining, I finally found the best option not far from me.
The journey to the studio was a wild one. My cousin accompanied me and we were unable to trace the locations for two hours and were almost chased by security dogs but that’s gist for another day!
Furthermore, we finally arrived the studio and the photographer was so nice, patient and professional. I did my makeup myself and had to fix my dress twice because it developed a minor fault. Upon all the struggle, at the end of the day it was a successful shoot and a day later, I got my pictures that I adore so much.
Fast forward to today my birthday, I woke up to lots of good wishes and love. From new and old friends, family, school mates etc. I forgot how special I am to some people and it felt good to be reminded. Lately even if I’ve been off grid for certain reasons, some people seemed to still have me in their hearts and I just realized it’s one of the things that keeps me going.
Finally, I’m so excited for this new chapter. I’m a bit scared but at the same time very optimistic.
I know it’s only up from here and I hope for the best.
I’m extremely thankful to Hive and new friends from here as well, you’ve all been a part of my journey whether you like it or not and I chose to cherish all I have now rather than later.
Don’t skip without extending your wishes ;)
Thanks for reading and have a lovely week ahead!
