Government policy in this pandemic situation is very responsive, school holidays which initially only until March 28, finally extended to April 13. This policy is of course related to the number of positive corona patients that are increasingly found in some areas.
The extension of this holiday soon circulated to Whatsapp student groups and their responses varied. There are those who feel comfortable being able to take a vacation and stay home because they understand the danger of coronavirus.
But many are also not happy about this news, they feel bored at home, miss school, miss meeting friends, lazy to do the work alone, not given pocket money, miss the same behavior of the teacher he said. Even children who sometimes skip classes during class also miss school.
They want to go to school because during the declared holiday but can not be free to play outside the house. They are bored with limited activities, if you want to play it is also prohibited by parents.
"Mom, miss school and miss friends"
"Can I go to school or not, ma'am?"
"At home, don't get enough allowance"
"Missing school skipping"
"Missing snacks in the school canteen"
"When will this epidemic be finished so I can go to school again"
"Feels like a child is not in school, unemployed is not good"
"Lazy to do the task alone, can't talk"
It was an excerpt of children's protests when the extended holiday policy was delivered at the WAG class. No matter how lazy they are at school, they still feel nostalgic when they take too long off and don't meet together.
That's the story of children who feel distancing social conditions like today, this will become their memories later because not every year experiencing an emergency and shocking like this.
Hopefully the COVID 19 pandemic will quickly subside and fade so that children can feel the warmth of school comfortably again.
