A few weeks ago, I had the responsibility of escorting a young lady who needed to sit for a national examination (which she failed, unfortunately).
The examination took place at a place called Barkin Ladi located in Plateau State, Nigeria.
Haven observed the environment, I decided to take a little solo hike.
I considered the entire scenery to be breathtaking. from the thinness of the air, to the chill of the atmosphere.
And how can I forget the sun kissing me on just the right places.
Everything felt perfect until I got to a point where a lot of wells had been dug and left without indication on the open field. I found myself on the verge of tripping into a number of really deep dry wells.
This experience is one I will not be forgetting anytime soon.
Never go solo hiking!
Yes, it's fun and it gives space to really feel the scene and play of nature. It's also quite risky, if you have a problem with taking risks that is.
