It's funny yet sad how some people are very comfortable with scamming or robbing people of their money.
What is the world turning into? Where are we headed?
Some months ago, I unfortunately, responded to one of these fraudsters who patiently and politely interacted with me like one who was sincere and genuinely just trying to make friends in the virtual space

The conversation all started when he said he was glad that I responded to his message (something I rarely do, especially if it's from a stranger from the virtual space). I asked who he was or what he wanted and guess what he said? Well, he gave me a female name and said he was from America😂💔 I thought of what could make an American lady chat me up in such a polite way. He started asking personal questions about myself which I responded to and some I wasn't comfortable answering so I would skip them.

After a few days of talking and replying to his messages, I got the shock I anticipated and awaited all along.
And guess what the shock was? The scammer proudly told me he was a scammer generally called Yahoo Boy here in my country. He said he only uses a lady's name and photo to deceive people and lure them. He wasn't even ashamed to accept this fact, he comfortably and confidently stated his mission and what he goes around doing to innocent people but the funny part that got me laughing was when he said that he couldn't continue his mission after realizing that I am a Nigerian.
According to him, he said that Nigerians can't be easily scammed and besides I wouldn't have the money, for him to even think of robbing me.
It was his nerves, the audacity he had to say that to me though.

I didn't curse or abuse him in any way, I only asked him one question which he couldn't answer me;What is the joy you derive in causing other people pain by robbing or scamming them?
He said nothing but rather offered to teach me how to make money through fraud and robbing people on the internet.
Of course, I told him I wasn't interested in joining his dubious means and ways of making money. He kept asking and trying to show me proof ad why I should join him but I declined and said he shouldn't bother me anymore and that I wasn't interested in whatever he was doing.
And because of this, he cleared his chats related to him trying to convince me to join him in the fraud, and when he confessed to being a scammer and a fraudster
But little did he know I already screenshotted part of his chats before he could delete them.
It's not that I wanted to do anything with it, but because it just got into my mind to screenshot at that time.

My Thoughts
Why did the scammer plead that I should still communicate with him even after he told me the truth about himself?
Why did he keep pestering and disturbing me, trying to convince me to join him in his dubious way of making money?
And why did he think it's difficult to scam Nigerians and that they don't have money?
I have no answers to some of these questions, but I believe that this wasn't the scammer's first time, he must have been doing this to many people out there and they have been falling victim.
I was just one of those bad market for him and he couldn't carry on with his mission.
