Esattamente come nel libro o nel fumetto o nel film o nel cartone animato del Canto di Natale, dopo le luci del passato si arriva al presente. A differenza di Zio Paperone però, i miei fantasmi mostreranno un aspetto differente del Natale, ma tutti ugualmente lieti.
Dopo l'albero di Natale viene il presepe a parlare di Natale. Rappresenta la Natività Cristiana e, come tale, viene realizzato solo nei luoghi dove è presente tale religione.
Sebbene la mia famiglia non sia particolarmente praticamente, fin da piccola sono sempre stata abituata a vedere il presepe vicino all'albero e, di conseguenza, è diventato parte integrante delle festività natalizie

Non ricordo esattamente quando e come è iniziato, ma ad un tratto, mio padre ha iniziato a collezione piccoli presepi. In realtà sono piccole rappresentazioni della capannuccia e, ogni volta che andava in giro, ne comprava uno sempre diverso. Successivamente sono iniziati i regali... quando andavo in giro e vedevo un piccolo presepe un po' diverso dal solito, glielo compravo per regalo. Dopo la scomparsa di mio padre la collezione si è interrotta. Mia madre non desidera incrementarla ancora e quindi questa sarà sempre per me un ricordo di una persona importante nella mia vita.
I don't remember exactly when and how it started, but all of a sudden, my dad started collecting little nativity scenes. They were actually small representations of the shed, and every time he went around, he bought a different one. Then the gifts began... when I went around and saw a small crib a little different from the usual, I bought it as a gift. After my father passed away, the collection stopped. My mother doesn't want to increase it anymore and so this will always be for me a memory of an important person in my life.

Ci sono luoghi in cui il presepe è una parte fondamentale dei festeggiamenti del Natale. Alcuni anni fa avevamo l'abitudine di festeggiare il mio compleanno andando a qualche mercatino di Natale. In Toscana esistevano vari villaggi di Babbo Natale con annessi mercatini, ma i miei preferiti erano quelli in Alto Adige. Fu durante uno di questi mercatini che venni a scoprire dell'esistenza di Thuniversum, un enorme outlet che vende prodotti Thun che immagino siano conosciuti in tutto il mondo. Proprio nella piazza di Bolzano vidi un enorme presepe Thun, mentre a Bressanone un museo che aveva al suo interno decine di presepi provenienti da tutto il mondo e di ogni epoca. Il presepe ha sempre un grande fascino.
There are places where the nativity scene is a key part of Christmas celebrations. A few years ago we used to celebrate my birthday by going to some Christmas markets. In Tuscany there were several Santa Claus villages with attached markets, but my favorites were the ones in Alto Adige. It was during one of these markets that I came to know about the existence of Thuniversum, a huge outlet that sells Thun products that I guess are known all over the world. Right in the square in Bolzano I saw an enormous Thun nativity scene, while in Bressanone there was a museum with dozens of nativity scenes from all over the world and from every era. The nativity scene always has a great fascination.

Per concludere vorrei mostrare il mio presepe. Proprio il mio, nel senso che ho realizzato io le statuine. Per puro caso mi sono imbattuta su Facebook in un gruppo di uncinetto che parlavano di un evento natalizio. Realizzare le statuine del presepe. Ovviamente ho trovato l'appoggio della mia famiglia e mi sono messa al lavoro. Successivamente si sono aggiunte altre statuine, ma altri impegni e la nascita di Mostriciattolo mi hanno un po' bloccata. Con gli anni ha subito qualche incidente, qualche testa scucita, qualche zampa mancante... Ma è stato il compagno di gioco di un bambino. In fondo il presepe fatto dai bambini è ricco di fantasia.... Infatti il Re Magio pesca l'oro nel pozzo per portarlo in dono al Bambinello...

Making the nativity figurines. Of course I found support from my family and got to work. Later more figurines were added, but other commitments and the birth of Mostriciattolo blocked me a bit. Over the years he has suffered a few accidents, a few cracked heads, a few missing legs.... But he has been a child's playmate. After all, the crib made by children is full of fantasy....
