Let's share about one type of creature created by God that is often considered a nuisance but is beneficial and even a balancer in the ecosystem and humans. Not only that, this creature created by God also has uniqueness and beauty. The creature created by God that I mean is the type of insect.
There are various types of insects that we often encounter in nature that are not only harmful pests but also small animals that have an important role in the ecosystem, are beneficial in life and also have their own beauty and uniqueness. In my post this time I want to share about several types of insects that I took photos of using my cellphone camera.
The insect that I will discuss first is the butterfly. This insect is often considered a small animal that is full of beauty. Butterflies are almost never said to be pests. But we also need to know that in the life cycle of butterflies there is something called a caterpillar, and we agree that caterpillars are harmful pests. Thus we can say that butterflies are not pests but in the process of butterfly metamorphosis there is one stage that is detrimental to farmers, namely when the butterfly eggs hatch and before the caterpillars become cocoons. But after the end of the cocoon period, butterflies are born as insects that play an important role in agriculture, namely as insects that help pollinate plants so that they produce fruit.
The discussion about the second type of insect is flies. Unlike butterflies which are identical with beauty. Flies are often considered as spreaders of several types of diseases. This is because some flies like dirty places. But there is one thing that is also beneficial from the existence of flies. Flies are a species of decomposers and help the process of decomposing the remains of living things. Therefore, flies also have benefits in life both as decomposers, food sources for birds and bats, and there are flies that help pollination.
The last part of my discussion in the post about types of insects is ladybugs. Ladybugs are insects that have benefits and there are also ladybugs that are detrimental because they are considered pests. Ladybugs that are considered pests are the type of ladybugs whose needles on their heads are used to suck fruit juice, so that the fruit that has been sucked by ladybugs when they are large will rot. But ladybugs also have an important role in the sustainability of the ecosystem, namely as pest controllers. Because there are types of ladybugs that are predators of plant pests. But for this one ladybug has beauty.
