That is, when they're used to write things down. I don't thing he'd have any issue with them being used as swords.
But writing? He thought it would destroy our ability to remember things.
Every new technology elicits the same response. My mom still complains that she used to remember so many phone numbers, and now she can barely remember 2 or 3, cos of smartphones.
GPS probably does the same to our mind maps.
What code (magic tags?) did you use to stick "User: Ben2 on Wikimedia commons. Used under CC 3.0 license" so close against the pic? I think I used to know how to do this, but I forgot!
