Greetings, LMAC friends!
Today, I am once again presenting my latest collage as an entry for LMAC Round 249
As the sun shines with its gentle warmth, there is a heart here that feels cold, sad, lonely, and not truly alive like the green world surrounding it.
There is a place that doesn’t feel entirely real. Maybe it’s a dream… or maybe it isn’t. No one really knows. There is only stillness, so deep that the silence itself begins to feel strange, as if time is moving unbearably slow… or perhaps not moving at all.
In the middle of this vast expanse stands a fallen kingdom. Not ruined in form, but in spirit. It is filled with quiet, like a world that has forgotten how to move.

There, a figure of a king stands tall, wearing a crown of gold that gleams as if he rules over something grand. But the longer you look, the more it feels unreal. He is nothing more than a shell with a beautiful appearance, empty, and not truly alive.
Within him, there is a space. And inside that space sits something alone, "a heart."
Not a heart full of life like the world outside. It does not beat with purpose, nor does it move in search of anything. Even when light slowly finds its way in, soft and warm, like hope reaching out its hand, the heart remains still.
Not because it refuses…
but perhaps because it has waited for far too long.
Like someone trapped inside a shell that never cracks, it stays there, quietly grieving a loneliness that never truly fades.
Meanwhile, the world outside continues on. Butterflies flutter in silence, rabbits move in their gentle rhythm, and birds drift along with the wind.
But the heart remains seated.
Still. Like someone who has forgotten how to stand.
until, in the end, it no longer remembers what it was even waiting for.
