This is a story of a man who gets away from the city to escape the madness. Just him and his dog. He wants to hear nothing but the sound of the wind and the birds. He has a camp set up nearby. He leaves to search the area.
He's rudely interrupted. His heart races as he pretends not to notice the helicopter hovering closely. There is no one else nearby. He tells himself to act normal. After all he hasn't done anything wrong. All he did was set up camp on a crown land site. He has a few weeks before he has to leave. He wonders what the problem is. Are they looking for someone? He wonders why they stay so close to him. He tells himself, "don't let them see you sweat."
He is relieved by the unexpected nod from the pilot as he vanishes into the sky.
