The world of the living statues [LMAC 162]

My work this week was done with amazing fluidity. These types of images are my favorite. Good structure as always, but the clean sky and perspective gave a lot of room for creativity.

I think this is one of my favorite images and I really enjoyed the process. I think it's one of my best, although I'm proud of so many others before it.

Mi trabajo de esta semana fue realizado con una fluidez asombrosa. Este tipo de imágenes son mis favoritas. Una buena estructura como siempre, pero el cielo limpio y la perspectiva daban mucho espacio a la creatividad.

Creo que está es de mis imágenes favoritas y disfruté mucho del proceso. Creo que es uno de mis mejores, aunque estoy orgulloso de tantos otros anteriores.

I started by separating the land from the sky and sea. The ocean and sky were given a new tonality, much brighter and high impact.

This canvas had a lot of potential. I think it was one of the freest images I have come across so far. I was able to play for hours and hours with different images.

Comenze separando la tierra del cielo y mar. Estos últimos recibieron una nueva tonalidad, mucho más brillante y de alto impacto.

Este lienzo tenía mucho potencial. Creo que fue una de las imágenes más libres con las que me tope hasta ahora. Pude jugar horas y horas con diferentes imágenes.

I had two completely empty hills, on one I added a Hindu statue. I carefully cut it out and added some tears as if it were a water fountain. At the other end was a similar geographical feature. There I put another statue I found on pixabay that looked melancholic to me. From far away it didn't look good so I applied some filters and it feels sharper. I had a base with a girl on a path, which I kept and retouched to blend them together. The result was great, very neat.

Tenía dos colinas completamente vacías, en una agregue una estatua hindú. La corté cuidadosamente y le agregué unas lágrimas como si fuera una fuente de agua. En el otro extremo había un accidente geográfico similar. Allí puse otra estatua que encontré en pixabay. Desde lejos no se veía bien así que le aplique unos filtros y se siente más nítida. Tenía una base con una niña en un sendero, que mantuve y retoque para que se fusionen. El resultado quedó muy prolijo.

The crystal clear water was waiting for me, like a blank canvas it was ready to receive content. The classic, the expected would have been a boat. The idea crossed my mind, but I couldn't find one that I thought was good enough for this piece of canvas. So I decided to do something different. I found a beautiful Chinese construction, which I cut out and cut out a shadow on the shining waters of my design.

El agua cristalina me esperaba, como un lienzo en blanco estaba lista para recibir contenido. Lo clásico, lo esperable hubiera sido un barco. La idea pasó por mi mente, pero no encontré ninguno que me parezca lo suficiente para este lienzo. Así que decidí hacer algo diferente. Encontré una bella construcción China, la que recorte y recree una sombra sobre las brillantes aguas de mi diseño.

While I was doing this I was already looking at the sky, so much space to work with is beautiful for what it can be but a little scary not to get something striking.

I feel I exceeded my own expectations. This initiative enhances my skills and I feel it gives me a lot back. The sky turned out great! This week's chore was very enjoyable.

Mientras hacía esto ya miraba el cielo, tanto espacio donde trabajar es hermoso por lo que puede ser pero un poco aterrador de no conseguir algo impactante.

Siento que sobrepase mis propias expectativas. Esta iniciativa mejora mis habilidades y siento que me retribuye mucho. El cielo quedó estupendo! El quehacer de esta semana fue muy placentero.

Now the third open space was the ground. Perhaps the most difficult part for me. I searched and discarded numerous images. Until I found the statue of the knight. I found the image beautiful and very flexible. The cuts in the statue give it a three dimensional feel that I may use again in another design. After removing the background, I brightened up his sword, his crown and added a halo on his head. To add mysticism I placed him on top of a book of magic runes. I did the same thing with an image further back, with another book but it was also a cut out humanoid figure.

Ahora el tercer espacio abierto era el terreno. Quizás la parte que más me costó. Busque y descarte numerosas imágenes. Hasta que encontré la estatua del caballero. La imagen me pareció hermosa y muy flexible. Los cortes en la estatua le dan una sensación tridimensional que posiblemente vuelva a usar en algún otro diseño. Luego de eliminar el fondo, le di brillo a su espada, a su corona y le agregué un aureola en su cabeza. Para agregarle misticismo lo puse encima de un libro de runas mágicas. Lo mismo hice con una imagen más atrás, con otro libro pero también era una figura humanoide recortada.

I am simply in love with this week's design. I take this opportunity to thank the Staff of the LMAC community. I'm having prolonged power outages and horrible, oppressive heat so I'm not commenting as much as I usually do. But I didn't want to stop participating. You can find the LMAC propossal here.

Estoy sencillamente enamorado del diseño de esta semana. Aprovecho para agradecer al Staff de la comunidad de LMAC.
