Whaaaat a relief! I finally completed my collage :D This is my 2nd scheme because I wasn't happy with my first idea. I think has done a good job selecting this round's base image, it's a blank canvas to allow us, participants, to explore further and push the limits of our imagination.
The base image is a waterless land... an empty desert... a desolate area of land without vegetation.
I want to flip the script and turn this barren land into a flourishing city under the water.
This idea led me to re-create Atlantis!
The inspiration for my artwork --->>> "Aquaman!!!"
Here's how I created my collage
1) Here's the base image provided by
2) In order to bring this desert land under the water... a splash of blue!
3) And then the initial elements like mermaids, fishes, and some corals. It will serve as my basis for the other elements and for scale as well.
4) To populate the scene, I had to add more fish and corals. And the important part is to add structure to the background... I took the temple from LMAC #134 which was provided by
. That's the reason why I also set a 2% Beneficiary Reward to his account.
5) I wanted to add a fantasy effect into the scene and so I added an exxagerated-sized jellyfish in the background. And then I had to move the fish to improve the framing of the scene.
6) From here, I decided to add an extra element to the background; the sculpture was provided by
that I downloaded from the >>>LIL Gallery<<<
7) Here's the fun part... I added the bubbles to create an underwater effect to it.
8) The exciting part for me is to enhance the colors and lighting to breathe some life into the scene. I edited the image in Lightroom photo editing software.
9) To add more emphasis to the mermaid, I gave her a bubble helmet... for fun :D
10) For the final touches on the image, I added an extra layer of water photo and then set the blending layer effect to "Linear Burn" to add some underwater effects to it.
