Beyond the City | It's a Milestone! Celebrating My LMAC Collage FreeStyle No. 100

It's time to celebrate my personal milestone! I've created 100 FreeStyle Collages in the LMAC Community over the past three years. For this celebratory design, I wanted to share with you a theme of "wonders beyond city life." There's no short fiction with this freestyle collage. My objective was to create an other-worldly magical feel to everyday life in the city. That is, in case one cares to explore. You can access this world through a cylindrical portal. A giraffe sits atop of the skyscraper. It acts as a lighthouse; a guide to the portal. You only need to exit the freeway and follow your instincts.

The LMAC Community run by Hive account@shaka holds a weekly collage contest for its members. In the Community, you'll discover a variety of themed entries submitted for consideration. If selected for the final round, contest hopefuls anxiously await results indicating their placement that determines the prize awarded. It's a fun contest that any Hive member can participate. The LMAC Community also offers an opportunity for members to create and post in the Community "freestyle" collage themes. In the freestyle option, more freedom is allowed to design your creations without having to incorporate the weekly contest photo. However, contest rules still apply.

In preparing my theme, I utilized the LMAC Original Contest image for its Round 216 contest that contains a city on the edge of a shipyard. To this image I added an alternate view of an underwater scene. Below are the images I included to complete my alternate world theme:

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. Below are my steps in which I begin with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, and repositioning items as needed incorporating the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.

To a blank, white canvas, I added the large surreal fish image.	Switched canvas background to black. Added large surreal fish head. Added a second smaller surreal fish head. Removed backgrounds from both; resized and repositioned them.	Added my veil flower fractal; resized it to fit over the surreal fishes.

Added the LMAC city image. Removed background. Positioned at bottom.	Added the cylinder. Removed background, then repositioned it in front of the surreal fishes.	Added the female lying down. Inserted her into a frame; then placed the frame inside the cylindrical tube. Inserted part of LMAC bridge inside cylinder. Added the giraffe and replaced his eye. Completed project.
