This week's participation in the Let's Make a Collage ("LMAC") Round 161 was fun to create, inspired by the lovely contest image. My theme is contemplating relationships. The landscape reminded me of stepping out of the darkness and moving toward the light over the horizon as it beckons to hurry before the sun concludes its game of hide and seek, forcing you to discover its whereabouts. I've two collages to share this week exploring the theme.
To create the setting, I started with the photograph provided by in his contest post: Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 161 - ✨131 HIVE in the Prize Pool!

COLLAGE #1:
Often individuals desire to venture out into unknown territory. They may want to try something different. The unknown can be a place of exotic wonders. But one will never know unless they step out of the shadows. Over the horizon always looks brighter. The fear of missing out is high. However, the thrill of find your dream over the next mountain drives the compulsion. We're left with "what if" when we fail to take action.
COLLAGE #2:
Sometimes exploring the unknown may have the opposite effect on individuals. Not every one desires to go peacefully into the future. Fear of technological advances may be one reason. They fight it even though they realize they can't stop it. Fear of venturing into a situation where they have no control or feel insignificant is a valid emotion.
Take for example the introduction of electric cars. Can man ever completely abandon fossil fuels? This question is being currently addressed. Also advanced machinery or artificial intelligence that will become more prevalent perhaps in the next decade.
No one knows what is in store for humanity. We speculate and develop models based partially on what has occurred in the past. However, mankind and the universe looking down upon it is a chapter in the ongoing book of life.
Some of us will look forward to the next chapter, while other will want to stay on the same page in which they'll be dragged kicking and screaming into the next century and beyond.
Collage #1 Supporting Documents:
To create collage #1, I drew inspiration from one of my fractals I created. It resembles a sort of maze. I think of it as a menagerie. Then I located a unique background image with a beautiful bay window that suggest leaving one place and a new world opening up to explore.
Next, I included other free images and ones from the LMAC LIL database. Wha a find of unique images that enhanced my scene so that it resembled individuals deep in thought. I uploaded all images into Canva to take advantage of my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
