For my Freestyle Collage No. 40, my theme is the "adventurer". Have you ever wondered what propels some individuals to seek the unknown, to climb a mountain, to trekk long distances, or to skydive or other air escapades? Do these individuals possess a unique personality?
Of course, they do. It's all about personality.
Recently, I was approached by a friend attempting to coach me into going out on the water jetskiing. Another family member nearby heard the invitation. She rushed over to find out where she could sign up.
I, on the other hand, immediately after hearing the word, conjured up images of me plunging into the depths, never to be heard from again. My impending demise and funeral service. I quickly responded, "no thanks." It's not in my nature or personality. And I feel strong in my convictions.
I have no problems, though, watching others take on exciting adventures and then hearing about the outcome. Even with traveling in my RV, I still remain close by unless enjoying myself on the edge of the beaches.
For those who enjoy being adventurous, they possess a personality that includes an openmindedness approach to life, curious, and willing to investigate and explore new territory and experiences.
When invited to join in activities, they don't hesitate. I can imagine their photo albums are ten times fuller than mine.
For my current freestyle collage, I wanted to portray two version-type personalities. One content sitting on the sidelines watching. The other, searching for someone to come take a journey, enticing her to explore. The scene resembles one contemplating a travel to another dimension.
In preparing my theme, I utilized one of the previous LMAC contest images for the landscape. To complete the background design, I located a vibrant water, sky, landscape scene I visualized as exciting to explore on an adventure.
However, one would need to travel to the other side, so I located a mysterious bridge. For the young lady, an image contributed to the LMAC Image Database by was perfect as the reserved young lady just sitting admiring the scenery.
I included other images to bring my scene to life.
