For my Freestyle Collage No. 86, my theme is springtime and the meekats' mating season.
Spring has arrived. At least in my area of the world. That means a time of renewal and growth. I was reminded of the meaning of birth and rebirth in the animal kingdom.
I thought about animal activity during the season, especially Meerkats. Their rituals fascinate me. The family oriented species with the dark shading around the eyes creates a mysterious aura about them. Their dedication to family, rearing of their young, and family security watch groups that helps keep them safe from predators is a thing to be admired.
Just watching them work together in all phases of their lives is amazing. I love to see them stand upright in a group on their hind legs. They balance themselves with their strong tail.
So I thought I'd bring some 21st century romance advice into their lives with my freestyle collage theme. Instead of the traditional way, Ms. Meerkat discovered that she could get more likes and hits merely by having her best friend take her photo. She chose the best pose before uploading it on the social media dating app.
To her susprise, within a few hours she received several likes and hits. Two slid into her direct message. She even received a proposal. But with so many interested parties, she would be wise to proceed cautiously.
All Ms. Meerkat needs now is the new IPhone.
In preparing my theme I took into account the LMAC contest image for Round 206 that depicts a barren landscape with small hills and mounds. Perfect for the meerkats sanctuary. With the cactus night background image, I was able to blend both to create a romantic encounter for the meerkats.
Below are the additional images I included to complete my theme:

When compiling my freestyle collage design, I upload my images to Canva. It's my design program I use to blend my images. Below are the procedures I use that incorporate the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
To a blank, white canvas, I added the cactus image to be used as the background of my scene
Resized the cactus to fill the entire canvas, then added my fractal in the skyline as dreamy clouds.
Added my crimson fractal mandala I created. Duplicated it, then positioned each inside the other to create rings.
Added the female head image that contained several versions of the head.
Removed the female head background, then repositioned it inside my fractal mandala. Added the LMAC landscape image.
Removed landscape background. Positioned it at the bottom. Colorized, then duplicated to fill in the scene.
Added the different meerkat images. Removed backgrounds and positioned them in the landscape.
Added the different colored fractal butterflies and the yellow butterfly image.
Repositioned the butterflies inside the mandala image surrounding the female meerkats as though in a poster. Completed the project.
Below is my completed collage:
Thanks for your visit. I appreciate it. I hope you like my freestyle collage theme.
