The Mural - A Cultural History in Street Art | LMAC Collage FreeStyle No. 102

I wanted to share with you my Freestyle Collage No. 102. My theme is appreciating street art. In my city, numerous examples can be found of the its attempt to modernize the environment. One example is the commission of artists, some formerly graffiti experts, to transform their work into pieces of art.

Recently, I discovered transformer boxes were covered in street art depicting various scenes from movies, actors and actresses, historical figures, such as Buffalo Soldiers, and other themes.

My freestyle collage was completed in accordance with the LMAC Community Rules. The Community is run by Hive account@shaka holds a weekly collage contest for its members. In the Community, you'll discover a variety of themed entries submitted for consideration. If selected for the final round, contest hopefuls anxiously await results indicating their placement that determines the prize awarded. It's a fun contest that any Hive member can participate. The LMAC Community also offers an opportunity for members to create and post in the Community "freestyle" collage themes. In the freestyle option, more freedom is allowed to design your creations without having to incorporate the weekly contest photo. However, contest rules still apply.

In preparing the theme for FreeStyle Collage No. 102, I utilized eight images from the LMAC's database, the #LIL. I also assembled various abstract free-sourced images to add a pop of color and uniqueness to the scene. This is a rare collage where I didn't include my own fractals or other contributions to the database.

I used the tall building in the LMAC city image as part of the mural.

When compiling my freestyle collage design, I upload my images to Canva. It's my design program I use to blend my images. Below are the procedures I use that incorporate the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.

To a blank, white canvas, I added two abstract images to be used as backgrounds.	Resized and positioned the abstract images on opposite sides.	Added female image. Positioned, then embellished it with a fan to the eyes.

Added the LMAC city landscape. Colorized, then duplicated it for a bottom water feature.	Added the various seagulls and duck family.	Added the colorful sculpture of a man sitting.
