Hello to all collage lovers! Ever since I made my first collage and overcame my fear of using my "weird" ideas, I've been waiting for each image to see what kind of things come to mind. For the Round 174, this is my approach:

I am a lover of forests, I like them a lot. But I know how terrifying they can be, thanks to the countless paranormal stories that exist about them on the internet and the tales one hears in the villages. Taking that idea, I thought of representing a bit of those events that you can find if you go off the beaten path when you take the risky adventure of entering a forest. Terrifying situations such as creatures peeking through the trees; Constructions such as doors, which you should not open, or stairs, which you should not climb, no matter how tempting the idea may be, because you don't know what might be in store for you in that place full of so much mystery. To achieve that paranormal composition, I went through the community library and chose the appropriate images.

Once I found the right location for them, I changed the tonality of the colors a bit and proceeded to draw with my tablet, that mysterious scene that lives deep in the forest. The use of the eyes would represent that feeling of being watched or stalked and the ramifications, being trapped, with no option to flee.

Another aspect that I like to use with collages is the vintage or lost media aspect. So I gave the image a sepia tone and a grid effect, to give that "old" look; as if our scene were an event that occurred years ago that someone captured with an old camera, perhaps revealed by the ranger who found it while he was on his walks through the forest. To get that photo effect, I used the Line Camera app.

¡Hola a todos los amantes de los collages! Desde que hice mi primer collage y superé mi miedo a utilizar mis ideas "bizarras", he estado a la expectativa de cada imagen para ver qué clase de cosas me vienen a la mente. Para el Round 174, éste es mi planteamiento:

Soy amante de los bosques, me gustan mucho. Pero sé lo aterradores que pueden llegar a ser, gracias a las innumerables historias paranormales que existen sobre los mismo en internet y a los propios cuentos que uno escucha en los pueblos. Tomando esa idea, pensé en representar un poco de esos eventos que puedes llegar a encontrarte si te sales de la ruta establecida cuando tomas la arriesgada aventura de adentrarte a un bosque. Situaciones aterradoras como criaturas asomándose entre los árboles; construcciones como puertas, que no debes abrir o escaleras, que no debes subir, por más tentadora que sea la idea, pues no sabes qué pueda depararte en ese lugar lleno de tanto misterio. Para lograr esa composición paranormal, revisé en la biblioteca de la comunidad y escogí las imágenes apropiadas.

Una vez que les encontré la ubicación adecuada, les cambié un poco la tonalidad de los colores y procedí a dibujar con mi tableta, ese escenario misterioso que mora en lo profundo del bosque. El uso de los ojos representaría esa sensación de ser observado o acechado y las ramificaciones, el quedar atrapado, sin opción de huir.

Otro de los aspectos que me gusta utilizar con los collages, es el aspecto vintage o de lost media. De modo que le otorgué a la imagen un tono sepia y un efecto de reticulación, para dar ese aspecto "antiguo"; como si nuestra escena, se tratase de un evento ocurrido hace años atrás que alguien captó con una vieja cámara, quizás revelada por el guardabosques que la halló mientras realizaba sus recorridos por el bosque. Para obtener ese efecto de fotografía, utilicé la app Line Camera.

Éste, sería el negativo propiamente dicho de la fotografía extraña, tomada en lo más profundo del bosque:
