Technology has changed a lot of things including in the real estate world. Before the internet boom and the year of technology, a simple post of “building for sale” on a stick board or a simple advert on the left corner of a newspaper was enough to get influx people and calls asking about the building but all this have changed. Everything has changed, if you do this now, you might not find a buyer. Realtor.com says that about 80% of buyers search for homes online and this goes down to other aspect of business. Unlike some years back when people make adverts through papers and bills, now every business is going online.

Using Email for Marketing
Just like sending a wedding invite to friends and family through a post mail, so is the use of Email for marketing purposes. E-mail marketing is a direct form of marketing or advert in which a lot of consumers are met at the same time. Unlike in the past where physical direct marketing were used to create awareness to individuals even though it is expensive, e-mail marketing has played a fundamental part in reducing the need of one –one marketing which was expensive rather the use of e-mail to market directly to consumers have made the cost of marketing reduced to a minimal.
E-mail marketing includes newsletters, promotional e-mails and transactional e-mails. This emails are geared at creating awareness about a product or service, at the same time sharing information about the business, and future plans.
Newsletters
Have you been made to sign up for newsletter in anticipation for news about a service or product? Yes I remembered signing up for Voice newsletter as well as a lot of other newsletters with the intention to get updates about the business. One thing you need to understand is that no company sends a newsletter without advertising themselves.

This is often used by businesses with website and often it is made compulsory or necessary for users to subscribe as a means of marketing. In this type of marketing, promotional messages are often sent alongside information that are valuable about the product or service to the users. Newsletters can offer Humor, Research, Information and Promotion. The purpose of Newsletters are to build long-term relationships with the users.
Promotional e-mails
Unlike newsletter, this mails do not often come with updates on products or services rather, it is cooked to be enticing and designed to make the users perform certain actions like buying the products, signing up as well as placing orders or placing a call. This e-mails are often for awareness.
Marketing purpose is to make audience take immediate actions and email marketing being direct often gears at enticing the audience to make an immediate action.
Do Not SPAM
Often before using e-mail marketing, the company should have a database of users that will receive emails. This database are often made when users deliberately drop their emails by agreeing to allow the company send emails with marketing messages. In most cases, companies always allow users click on this permission when they are about to sign-up to their website or get a product from them. Legal action can be taken against companies that send unsolicited bulk e-mail. Also an email can still be regarded as spam when often comes with headings like “free,” “buy now,” and “discount”.

Conclusion
In having a successful e-mail marketing, a simple headers like “to”, “from”, and “reply” are to be used to build a relationship as well as create familiarity with the user. Also, the subjects should be interesting after which appealing personal greetings should follow which should be accompanied by a simple and short body with messages about the business, product or service. A marketing e-mail is not complete if it does not have a footer. In the footer, simple adverts about the same or other products you want your audience to familiarize themselves with can be added, details about the company which includes contacts should be placed in the footer then also a link to unsubscribe from getting your mails should be added (this is often very small but clear and most time is not seen by users).
E-mail marketing is cheap, less- stressful and a very effective way of marketing a new and existing product and this is still being used by a lot of companies because it is cheap and has proven to work effectively.
