¿What has become of our society today? Certainly it is known that for centuries this discrimination has always been, either for being coloured, for being a woman, for having a certain religion, in short, but I think we have already reached the tip of the iceberg, this time I want to talk mainly about the discrimination that health personnel are suffering today.
We all know that the situation we are experiencing is difficult and not only for the people or the common population, but also for these people who are taking risks every day, to save lives, lives that perhaps in the future will be those of your relatives.
And I cannot explain to myself how there are people who discriminate against these servants, who are out there fighting every day so that they are not the next infected or the next dead, while we are in well-guarded houses.
The image you see above, I saw it on the social networks on the 23rd, is something that is happening here in Bogota, and I think it is very serious and must be said.
I guess it is not only happening in Colombia, maybe in other countries too, but nobody talks about it, they should be ashamed of just thinking about such a ruthless act, yes, it is true they are in contact with many things, but they also take their prevention measures to take care of others.
It is really a very sad information and that leaves me surprised of how we are so ignorant, I know that we must be attentive and take care of us and our relatives but it must not be at the expense of others or to kill others.
I can't imagine the fear and frustration of the doctor not being able to do anything and risking his life for many people and having them come and pay him back in this way, the indignation he must feel must be great.
This is news that really makes one think that humanity is lost, we are human but there is no humanity, I know that not all, but at least a large part of the population is so.
I know that we are in a bad way as a society, but we are supposed to be more humane, more supportive, not just thinking about ourselves, putting ourselves in the shoes of the one who needs it most or the one who is stuck in a hospital for 24 hours risking his life.
I don't know if this way of thinking will ever change, it won't be in this generation, but I hope that those that come in the future will change many things.
I am also a doctor and it would hurt me a lot if something like this happened to me, besides the anger that I would feel, because of that and much more one sometimes starts to think, really it's worth risking your life for others? And it's not that you do it to get something in return but really it's worth holding on to so much?
I DON'T THINK SO, JUST LIKE I TAKE CARE OF YOU YOU SHOULD TAKE CARE OF ME!!
