I was talking to someone about the way the world's revolution is going very fast and I told him that the world is going away from the old industrial revolution to another type of revolution even when a lot of countries and people haven’t even experienced the previous revolution.
The first industrial revolution was what brought about manufacturing in industries which brought new thoughts, believes and the way we worked. While some people believe that we only have one industrial revolution and every other thing that has been happening is an upgraded improvement to the revolution. It is believed that the steam-engine brought about the industrial revolution as it brought about a shift in the technology and improvement in the way of life that causes an improvement in current businesses as well as it creates a new type of business.
The Steam engine brought about an impressive growth in the way works were done and people who would work with hands were now working with engines thereby making work easier and production faster in all industries. Like the steam engine affected all industries, so did communication technology affect all industries. The ability to send messages from one person to another in different locations affected a lot of industries causing another type of revolution. The Information communication industrial revolution. The Telephone and the internet spanned through a lot of industries making information very easy and improving the efficiency and production process.
Computer is something a lot of us cannot do without in our entire lives, we have access to one type of computer or the other even if it is a small calculator. We are very much affected by computers in everything we do including how we calculate, analyze and so on in our works and our personal endeavors.
Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing, human implant, advance 3D printing and blockchain technology is possibly going to be the next revolution as it will be affecting all industries. Although, it hasn’t gotten to its peak and still at its beginning phase, but it has a very big possibility that it will affect a lot of industries. From mechanized industrialization, to electricity, computing and intelligence.
