The concept of entrepreneurship describes the process of unveiling, outsourcing and exploiting opportunities. Entrepreneurs are those who take up the responsibility of innovation and establishment, Entrepreneurs are involved with the creation of organizational duties which in turn helps the economy. Entrepreneurs exploit market opportunities, makes good and efficient use of those opportunities by producing initiatives to make the system more productive and efficient. An entrepreneur manages risk, combines different task, basically dwells on exploitation of ideas, takes risk and produces efficient result.
The central activity of an entrepreneur boils down to the creation of businesses, which is either on a level of a sole proprietorship (one person), or a group of individuals (partnership). Attaining certain level of success as an entrepreneur really does not have anything to do with, educational qualities, age, sex or exposure.
An entrepreneur is one who literarily enters into the world of uncertainty, it is the hope of the entrepreneur that the business or idea ventured into is going to succeed, but the certainty involved, is usually not ascertained as there are various factors that supplement the growth of the business idea, these factors may either work for or work against. They are usually faced with risk, sometimes all their financial wealth goes into a business that is filled with uncertainty, the business may either fail or succeed but they have to accept whatever comes out of the business as they usually take it as a lesson and move forward. Entrepreneurs are also usually driven by achievements, irrespective of what people have to say or how people view their ideas, they are usually strong-willed and optimistic to achieve whatever they have in mind, this way they are always seen as risk takers and sometimes they are the ones who are always considered foolish for the type of risk they take.
The position of an entrepreneur is not the same as that of a manager in a company, while company managers manage the team they are involved with, entrepreneurs serve other duties apart from managing their own business, they are usually concerned about all round growth and improvement unlike a company manager who may decide to walk out on the company anytime he desires. A manager can be fired from a company when his or her services are no longer required but the case is different when it comes to an entrepreneur who bears both the loss and also the success that comes with the establishment.
More than a course that is explained, taught and described, the act of entrepreneurship has to come from a person’s ability to make definite sacrifices, to learn to always make use of opportunities to his or her own advantage and to always bear in mind the necessity to move forwards despite the disappointments that may come as a result of the entrepreneurial path chosen.
