When it comes to finance, a lot of us always feel we cannot explain how we spend our money. It often gets finished before we realize what is going on and when the realize that we have used up all the money we worked for without been able to account for it, sadness fills our heart and we wish we had spent the money in a more appropriate way.
It is usually very easy to spend, there will always be something to buy and with so much attractive advertisement flying all over the place recently, we might just be tempted to get those things we do not want to buy and have regrets about them later on.
Is there really a way to get rid of this spending habit completely and gain full control over our finance again? Yes it is very possible and that is the best way I know that we can use to track our finances and make sure that we do not have regrets after we spend.
Budget is a good way to keep track of your finance.
It is possible to miss budgeting benefits because we are making the mistake of setting budget on future money, it does not work that way budgeting is only effective when it is done on the available money.
Here is an illustration to back up my point, someone promised your husband of a contract of $5,000 next month and naturally, you both draw out a pattern on the way you are going to use the money, unfortunately the price of the contract was reduced to $3,000 and you already have a budget for $5,000the budget is no longer feasible or attainable.
If at the time you set a budget on the $5,000 you had $500 you had mismanaged, that has gone into a waste section and that is exactly my point budgeting should be made on even the little resources we have at hand and not only the large ones.
One way to have a sustainable budget is taking a quick scan on the things you used money for previously, that way you will be able to get rid of excesses and focus on necessity for the current or upcoming month.
Having a budget will help you have some reserve to save, these reserves should be allocated for something it might be saved for emergency fund or saved for a particular thing, and this will help you curb regret after the money is spent.
How to stick to the budget made.
Having a budget is not enough, sticking to the budget is what makes all the difference and while it may be easy to have a budget, it might not be so convenient to keep except you discipline yourself.
Remember that the habit of budgeting is not dependant on the amount you have, it is rather about how much you can conveniently spend without regret, have a nice day.
