This is often associated with celebrities and influencers. This is when people get paid by a companies and people because you own the property, intellect, or skill. It often happens when people ask for money for a particular idea or skill which has a copyright for as long as it is being used.

You must have seen this a lot of time. This is when people create videos to review certain products and when people like the products well, the owner of the video gets a certain percentage from the sales price. You might have heard about Amazon Links, that is a very good example.
Referral Links
Unlike the days where people have to invest the old way to get passive incomes, now people make incomes by sharing referral links. People can drop links on posts and videos so people click on it and register so the referral makes money referring people.
Paid or Sponsored Videos/ Affiliate
This is done very well on YouTube, you must have heard a lot of people say the video is a sponsored or paid video. With this, the company pays the vlogger or influencer to promote the company, a product or a service while doing their thing on their video. People can do this on YouTube, Patreon and others.
