Hello friends, I hope you had a rest filled weekend? Even if I have decided to take a break from my physical business on Sundays, I still find it very important to find time for my blogging activities but then I have been resting more on Sundays, we start another week tomorrow and I wish us the very best of the approaching new week.
Today, I will be writing on a topic that is different from the usual topic I normally write about whenever I write in this community, I have mentioned also that apart from the fact that I blog about business I also blog on relationship issues but not on this platform. I know that we have wonderful parents on this platform and I will like to use this medium of writing to call the attention of parents to this very important topic.
As parents we often get very busy with activities that will bring in money for the family and of course we give ourselves the excuse that we are trying to make money in order for the children to have a good life, so we completely ignore the emotional responsibilities that we need to give to our kids, I believe that children should be corrected as often as they make mistakes but surely everything should not be about spanking the child.
The motivation behind this post is the touching story of a very little girl that I heard last week, her parents were of course very hard working people who will leave home at the early hours of the morning and get back home at night and as expected they were doing just fine financially so they could afford to get an house keeper who took complete responsibility for bringing up the kids.
Their little daughter who was eight years old would constantly try to talk to the mother whenever she got back from work but the tired mother never gave her any significant attention, the only person she could talk to was the house keeper. It happened that the gate man has been molesting this little girl sexually whenever she returns home from school while the house keeper has been doing the same to the twelve year old son, this act has been going on a year before the parents found out and the kids already saw it as a natural act since that was what the gate man and the house keeper made them believe.
It was a very sad story and it was after that evil story was unfolded that the mother had the time to listen to everything the daughter has been trying to tell her and she felt really bad as tears kept on flowing from her eyes. Parenting is a lot of responsibility and we should definitely not go into it if we are not ready for the emotional responsibility attached to it.
