I have been writing about finance for some time now because I have personally been taking some lessons on how to handle money matters and I think this is a good place to share the obtained knowledge with friends.
Money is an integral part of every man’s life, we need money every day and every time to get one thing or the other, so even those who live with the philosophy that money is not so important know that money is very necessary in life.
While having money is not everything, not having money at all is indeed a very disastrous act, it leads to anger, frustration and even gives room for evil thought most of the time, so there is no need to become an enemy to making money.
Not all of us make a bunch load of money on a weekly or a monthly basis, but I also feel it is not compulsory to wait until we can make so much money before we can live a financially convenient life, greed is one reason why people often beat themselves too hard over money. Setting your budget within the range of what you are going to be able to afford on a regular basis makes you financially confident.
Have an emergency fund.
Permit me to call an emergency fund a life saver, have you ever been stuck at a point where you need money badly and these emergency funds just save the day? I currently do not earn much but from the little I earn, I try to always set some funds aside for emergency cases and on several occasions they have proven to be worth it. There are days when I get completely stranded and almost close to tears but my emergency box safe in my room just brings those beautiful smile back to my face.
Do not wait until your finances increase before you begin to learn the habit of setting emergency funds aside, there is never going to be a time good enough to begin if you do not learn how to begin immediately and there is always going to be a reason why you do not want to do it.
You can decide to make use of your savings account for the funds and you may just set aside a little box in your home where you keep the money regarded for emergency and you have to develop a self-control strategy that will ensure you do not spend the money until there is indeed an emergency.
