a greeting to the community i hope you are in good health, in this article i will give my opinion about an excellent phrase from mr. (jose krutch) "Technology made large populations possible, now large populations make technology indispensable" i hope you like it.
When humanity began to live in society it saw the need to solve the problems that arise from living together, one of the most basic is food, where to live and how to organize the common things and other infinite problems, not to mention that as a population sometimes are overcome by other societies and that is where the need for protection arises, in that sense the technology that is nothing more than "doing more with less" allowed some communities to be more prosperous than others.
Technology is so important in the life of human beings that the countries with the technological advances are those that dominate the markets and the way of living of the countries that do not enjoy technology, in these countries the citizens live more and better have access to tools that allow the common citizen to do much more with less resources, an example is the United States where there are approximately 80 tractors for every 50 farmers versus Venezuela or Cuba where the state enlarges the way of cultivating using the mule and the donkey, the capacity of production of both is diametrically opposed.
In this world, having access to technology is a guarantee for your caregivers of a better life, a life in which it is possible to find the cure for diseases or to colonize another planet. From my point of view, technology is applied information and whoever can have that information can do more with less in the development of their society.
Now, the not-so-bright part of technology is that as populations grow and demand more resources we do not become more dependent on information to get ahead of other populations, an example of this is the constant wars between the powers that be fighting over who has the best weapons or the best economies.
In conclusion, technology is one of the great tools of humanity and although it is not always used for the benefit of humanity when required, it can unite the world in a common effort to achieve the survival of the species.
