The pandemic has really brought out the athletic side of us and made us realized our hidden talents. In my case or probably in most of us is the love of cycling or bike, not sure what is the correct term. I am not sure if my level is considered amateur as I just bike as a hobby and as a form of exercise. I usually ride around my neighborhood as there are a lot of bike spaces whether up or downhill.
Few months ago I decided to go on a long distance ride. At that time, I started from Camella Homes (Carcar) to Sibonga town and vice versa. I took the short route on my way out as I am not that confident plying the highway but on my way to Sibonga I took the main road as I do not have a choice. The entire route is around 30km back and forth with a lot of uphill. Ughh, I can only imagine. It was very challenging specially that it was my first time riding long distance and on a highway. But the whole journey taught me to persevere when under pressure. Something we can apply in everyday life.
Do you bike as a hobby? How was your first long distance ride?
