. Every year Harwich hosts a shanty festival attracting singers and musicians from around the world. We are locals so we act as pop up Pirates and play here and there for the whole weekend. Here we were joined by the first-mate of the Pioneer another Smack round from Brightlingsea for the weekend.The festival is well attended and thousands visit to hear shanty music ,see the re-enactments that happen and soak up the History of Harwich . We had a wonderful time and are sharing some of that here and on Hive with all of you
